This welding course is designed to alert all personnel involved in welding to safety hazards present in every operation. Welding safety data is derived from publications such as the American Welding Society's "Recommended Safe Practices for Welding and Cutting Safety". Included information is provided on:
1. Electrical hazards.
2. Toxic fumes and gases.
3. Fires and explosions.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
1. Identify electrical hazards.
2. Identify which metals and welding processes produce significant levels of toxic fumes and gases.
3. To be alert to fire and explosive hazards.
