WELDING INSPECTION

This course is designed to teach quality assurance personnel the fundamentals of welding inspection. The course will concentrate on enabling the participant to inspect weldments, and welded structures in accordance with welding codes and welding specifications. The emphasis is on visual weld inspection and the causes of common weld defects. (Lecture/Discussion)

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
The employee will be able to:
1. Have a working understanding of welding inspection methods.
2. Have a working knowledge of welding codes.
3. Identify common causes of welding defects.

TARGET GROUP: Inspector Trainees, Quality Control Personnel, Welders
TOTAL HOURS: 40 Hours
CLASS SIZE: 10 Maximum
PREREQUISITE: None, however some basic knowledge of welding processes would be helpful.
